Happy International Workers Day from AGIT!
For May Day, we are launching a kit that will guide you (and whatever group you’d like to form) on a route around Berlin’s former East. The walk takes the hand as figure in the writing of a political, sexual, and aesthetic history of the GDR. This tour is part of Sam Dolbear's residency project
Making Fist
The kit covers:
Each kit contains everything you need: Instructions as to how to move around, with sections that provide histories, but also ask you to perform tasks. It is part walking tour and part treasure hunt. You just need to form a group and send a postcard with your name and address to request a kit:
These postcards will then be archived and the packs will be sent out to you.
This is the first iteration of a larger project so I am keen to hear back from those who used them, to feed back into future versions.
This tour is written in English but the final tour will be available in German and English. Numbers of kits at this stage are limited so get there quickly.
Please share with anyone (particularly in Berlin) who might be interested.
